More About John
John enjoys using his creativity to find innovative solutions for small business clients. John has worked in sales and marketing in the financial services industry for 17 years. He got his start as a bank teller, and from there moved into consumer lending and small business lending. John has over a decade of experience in SBA lending assisting entrepreneurs and business owners fund their transition into business ownership through an acquisition or startup, purchasing real estate, ground-up construction, and/or renovations. He finds it rewarding to help clients find the right business opportunities, and then secure the financing to support their endeavors. He envisions himself as a partner to his clients, with a focus on listening, communication, and managing clear expectations.
When he’s not meeting with customers or seeking out new clients, Hicks enjoys performing with local bands and giving back to the community. He volunteers with Free Bikes 4 Kidz and participates in MS 150. He is an active volunteer with the Minnesota Consortium of Community Developers a member of the lending committee for small businesses. Hicks graduated from McNally Smith College with a degree in Music Performance and Concordia University in St. Paul with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing.
