Imposter Syndrome is a psychological occurrence in which people doubt their skills and fear being exposed as frauds. Despite their accomplishments, those experiencing Imposter Syndrome do not believe they deserve their success. Fast-paced work environments and constant change create fertile ground for imposter thoughts to fester. Imposter Syndrome may manifest as restlessness or nervousness and may also be accompanied by symptoms of anxiety and depression. 70-80% of people experience imposter syndrome at some time in their careers. Twenty-five years ago, Dr. Rita Webster founded WiseLeader to help leaders learn, grow to use their talents to contribute to their organizations. Since then, Rita has created Roundtables for Executive Women Leading Change, Cohorts for Mid-Level Women Managers, and the Land a Job You’ll Love process for women seeking their next role. Rita is passionate about the work she does and the leaders she works with. Her clients include a variety of companies such as Sleep Number, Johnson and Johnson, Be the Match, Choice Bank, and North Memorial. In the summer you’ll find Rita digging in the dirt at her community garden in South Minneapolis or arranging flowers from her backyard flower gardens. Her very favorite activity is spending time with her two preschool granddaughters, Willow and Cece, who live nearby and visit often.
