Coming Together to Celebrate Hospice
Whether it’s our family, our neighbors, or our friends, hospice services provide care to terminally ill patients and their families no matter the distance and no matter the circumstances. They treat each patient as an individual person, providing both emotional and spiritual care and comfort.
In 2020, Hospice of the Red River Valley served 2,229 patients, with an average of 402 patients served every day. Even with the challenge of the pandemic this past year, Hospice of the Red River Valley provided extra support to patients and families through 10,714 telehealth visits.
This dedication to providing meaningful, compassionate care at the end of life is why Choice Bank supports our hospice organizations.
For one day every year, we rally our communities together for an annual hospice fundraising celebration across North Dakota in Fargo, Dickinson, Bismarck, and Grand Forks. For the 9th year in a row, hundreds of volunteers, dozens of organizations, and thousands of community members across the state will come together on July 27 to support and share Hospice’s mission to provide comfort and care through life’s journey. Choice Bank’s rural locations will also be celebrating Hospice on this day.
Donations and community support play a large part in ensuring that Hospice organizations have the resources they need to continue these vital and thoughtful services, which is why 100% of all fundraising proceeds will go directly to the hospice organizations we partner with.
This year’s fundraiser will benefit Hospice of the Red River Valley, Sanford Hospice, and CHI Health at Home – Home Health & Hospice Care.
“One of our core values is to better the places we live and partnering with hospice is definitely bettering the places we live and the communities we serve,” said Brian Johnson, Chief Executive Officer.
Go Hawaiian for Hospice was founded in Fargo, ND, in 2012 by Choice Bank in partnership with a local hospice care organization. This event has become a growing and key event for Choice Bank and the communities we live in. Over the years, Choice has raised over $750,000 and expanded our event into Bismarck, Dickinson, and Grand Forks to support Choice Bank’s #PeopleFirst mission.
The 2021 Hospice fundraiser will be on July 27 at the following locations:
We are amazed by the community support this event receives every year! When the community comes together to support Hospice’s cause, the results are extraordinary.
