Choice Recognized for Two Marketing Initiatives Focused on Celebrating Community
At the heart of Choice Bank’s community initiatives and culture is a deeply-rooted core value — “Better the places we live.” This year, that commitment was recognized at the 2019 American Advertising Awards hosted by the American Advertising Federation of North Dakota.
Choice had the honor of being awarded both a Gold and Silver American Advertising Award (ADDY) for two of our marketing initiatives that were each centered on celebrating community.
“Bettering the places and people around us are what drives everything we do at Choice and we are constantly looking for opportunities to support locally.”
“Bettering the places and people around us are what drives everything we do at Choice and we are constantly looking for opportunities to support locally,” says Shelley Szudera, Creative Director at Choice.
One such award-winning project focused specifically on the arts community. Choice received a Gold ADDY in the Cross-Platform Integrated Advertising category for our #SupportLocalArt debit card campaign, created and implemented in partnership with local marketing agency, Tellwell. The campaign used video animation, social content, photography, design, media outreach, and a custom landing page to promote Choice’s #SupportLocalArt debit cards; a limited edition series of debit cards each featuring work from three local artists.
The campaign also served to raise funds for local arts councils, resulting in a total of $4,276 raised for seven different arts councils across North Dakota.
“We wanted to celebrate and support local art on our debit cards in the best way we could,” says Szudera. “We are so grateful for our communities to support, and are honored to receive this recognition.”
In addition, Choice received a Silver ADDY in the Film, Video, & Sound category for our video Ignite, also created in partnership with Tellwell. The video showcases Choice’s annual company-wide event held to celebrate and invest in our leadership team and the communities we serve.
While we may be in the business of banking, community has always been at the forefront of everything that we do. We hope that these stories will challenge others in the community to make an impact regardless of who they are or what they do.
“Wherever you are, there is always an opportunity to celebrate your community.”
“Wherever you are, there is always an opportunity to celebrate your community,” says Szudera. “We want to continue to do that in each of the communities we serve, and we encourage others to join us in the journey.”
