For the fifth year in a row, Choice Bank has been named by Independent Community Bankers of America (ICBA) as a Top Performing Community Bank. Out of more than 750 banks in the nation with assets over $1 billion, Choice came in at #12!

What’s the secret behind the numbers? Well, it’s no secret at all—it’s people.

Our team members are the driving force behind our success through the hard work, dedication, and passion they bring to Choice and our communities every day. Whether it’s providing solutions for a customer, supporting a coworker, or volunteering out in the community, the efforts of our team members truly make us stand out by providing People First service.

In 2019 alone, our team members donated over 3,500 volunteer hours and submitted 2,083 #PeopleFirst stories to recognize their fellow team members for going above and beyond to help each other, customers, and community.

Even when they’re putting in 110%, our team members don’t forget to slip in a little fun too.

What’s the secret behind the numbers? Well, it’s no secret at all—it’s people.

And finally, there’s YOU, our biggest supporters. Your ongoing support empowers our team members to give back year after year so we can continue our efforts to better the places we live by positively impacting so many in our communities.

That’s why it’s no surprise that we can do great things when you pair such driven team members with inspiring communities. To see how that translated to our success as a Top Performing bank let’s take a quick peek at the ICBA’s two-step process.

They started by first compiling FDIC data, taking into account return-on-assets (ROA) figures from 2016, 2017, and 2018, with special emphasis placed on 2018. They then broke down the community banks into three different categories based on asset size and ranked each category based on the three-year weighted average ROA to determine final rankings.

So, as we look to close out the year please join us in celebrating you and our team members as we look to accomplish even more amazing things in 2020 together!
