We’re hiring a VP of Wishes for our Wishing Well Program
To meet demand for their Wishing Well Program, Choice Bank has begun the search for a new position: Vice President of Wishes.
“The right candidate is like a four-leaf clover—hard to find, lucky to have.”
“In 2019, Choice Bank granted a total of 17 wishes through the Wishing Well program. From a school library that needed more books to a woman with muscular dystrophy who needed a new electric scooter to give her freedom of movement—no wish was too big,” said Mai Xiong, Talent Management Specialist at Choice. “Wishes started coming in faster than we could grant them, so we decided to hire someone to take on the job full-time.”
The Wishing Well Program, launched in 2018, encourages members of the community to submit wishes for individuals, organizations or communities that they see as most in need. The primary responsibility of the Vice President of Wishes will be to assess wishes as they are submitted, select the winning wishes, and assign teammates to grant those wishes in the community.
Currently in the running for the position are a lucky Penny, Brian O’Brian, Gene the Genie, Mary the Fairy Godmother, a certain Ms. Wishbone, and “shooting star” Andro Medae.
“We’re looking for someone who really understands the value of wishes,” said Emily Wieck, Vice President of Talent Management at Choice. “The right candidate is like a four-leaf clover—hard to find, lucky to have.”
Happy April Fools! While the Vice President of Wishes role is for fun, Choice Bank’s Wishing Well program is very real. And as we all face this unusual time together, our communities need help now more than ever. Make your wish online at choicewishingwell.com!
