The Wishing Well Program: Round two and what’s new!

“Seeing all the wishes unfold and how they impacted the lives of the recipients was inspiring.”

Through our first year of the Wishing Well Program, we were able to touch the lives of some incredible individuals in our communities, hear their inspiring stories, and share them with you. During the three-month submission period, we received over 250 wishes through physical wells placed at our locations or our website.

Out of those submitted, we ended up granting a total of 17 wishes ranging from a school library that needed more books to a brand-new electric scooter to give a woman with muscular dystrophy the freedom of movement—no wish was too big or too small.

Choice employees Jen LeBlanc, Jen Schlader, and Gaige Dunn teamed up with Jody’s mother behind-the-scenes in order to surprise Jody with her new scooter at work.

This year, the Wishing Well Program will be accepting and granting wishes year-round.

“It was amazing to see an idea that started on a phone call take off with the momentum it did,” said Gaige Dunn, Credit Banker and founding member of the Wishing Well Committee. “Seeing all the wishes unfold and how they impacted the lives of the recipients was inspiring.”

Pssst…If you haven’t already, you can catch up on all the wishes we granted and the stories behind them here!

Going into its second year, we knew we wanted to raise the bar even higher and introduce some exciting new changes to the Wishing Well Program just in time for the giving season. This year, the Wishing Well Program will be accepting and granting wishes year-round in an effort to reach even more people in our communities!

Who can submit a wish? Anyone and everyone! Either drop one off at one of our physical wells or submit one online.

Wishes will once again be accepted through physical wells placed in Belfield, Dickinson, Ellendale, Grafton, LaMoure, Medina, Steele, and Walhalla. They can also be submitted online at bankwithchoice.com/wishing-well.

“It was important to us to challenge ourselves and take it a step further by expanding the program to reach even more people.”

“After such a successful first year, it was important to us to challenge ourselves and take it a step further by expanding the program to reach even more people,” said Tara McFadden, SVP and Chief Compliance Officer. “By continuing the Wishing Well Program, we hope to provide a vehicle for members of the community to voice what is important to them and show that our #PeopleFirst commitment means that we’re here for not only our customers but also the communities we call home.”
